Adela Low, LLPC, is a trauma-informed psychotherapist working with adults in person and via telehealth. She uses EMDR, NARM, and IFS-informed approaches, and her specializations include complex trauma and C-PTSD, childhood and developmental trauma, grief, immigration trauma, medical trauma, and PMDD. Her work with PMDD is informed by both clinical training and lived experience. Adela holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College, following more than fifteen years in finance, experience that shapes her work with burnout, over-responsibility, and career transition.

She is LGBTQ2AI+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent affirming. Adela believes healing begins when we feel safe enough to tell the truth, about our pain, our fears, and the parts of ourselves we learned to hide in order to survive. She shows up as a real person rather than a blank screen, because insight alone rarely changes anything. What changes things is being met, repeatedly, by someone who does not flinch, until the nervous system starts to believe it.

Born in Romania and fluent in Romanian, Adela offers sessions in both English and Romanian. Outside the office she takes long walks by the lake, keeps two half-finished books going at once, and serves as full-time staff to a Shiba named Yoshi and a cat named Yukki.
